Helton Hearing Care is family owned and has served the Bozeman, Montana area and its surrounding communities for over 40 years. We have a great team of hearing care professionals who are very competent, compassionate and committed to provide you with the excellent care possible. Our doctors of audiology are American Board of Audiology Certified by American Board of Audiology (ABA). They have met both state and national requirements and achieved the highest level of credentialing for providing health care to people with hearing predicament. They also update their training regularly by taking continuing education courses and attending seminars. In addition, in order to provide the best hearing care possible, our audiologists frequently participate in clinical research conduct and continually study the latest and greatest in hearing technology available in the market.

Dr. Helton earned his Doctoral degree in Audiology at the University of North Texas. He has a vast array of audiology experience including working in a private practice, industrial setting and hospital environments. He is licensed and certified by the State of Montana Board of Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists, and the only one of two audiologists (the other one is Dr. Alyson Holmes) in Bozeman, MT, who holds National Board Certification from the American Board of Audiology (ABA).

Dr. Helton is a former educator who has been recognized numerous times during his career. His former students and current clients appreciate his caring, patient demeanor. Dr. Helton is best known for providing an excellent and thorough hearing evaluation. He always takes the time to explain “why”, believing that educated patients achieve a much higher level of overall satisfaction.

Dr. Helton and his wife fell in love with Montana when they first visited Drs. Lee and Darrell Micken in 2009. They decided to move from Texas and have considered Bozeman, MT their new “home town” ever since. Dr. Helton enjoys fishing and long walks with his wife and his dogs.

Gee and her husband, Dr. Will Helton, purchased Micken Hearing Services from Drs. Lee and Darrell Micken at the end of 2009. Gee was a scholar student from Thailand. She earned her Master’s degree in Economics from the University of North Texas. She and Dr. Helton enjoy working together. While Gee worked as a Policy and Planning Analyst for the Ministry of Education in Thailand, she and Dr. Helton also worked together as educators helping to improve the Thai educational system via various government projects and international organizations such as United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) for 6 years.

After relocating back to the U.S., she worked in a corporate setting as a Business Intelligence Analyst and later for a leading interactive agency as a Web Analyst. Gee decided to switch her career to be part of Helton Hearing Care, so she and Dr. Helton could team up and create something special together. Gee’s goal for Helton Hearing Care is, "We would like Helton Hearing Care to be a welcoming place that provides excellent client care and makes a difference in the live of our clients."

Gee enjoys spending time with Dr. Helton and their dogs. She also likes cooking, blogging and social-networking with her Thai friends. One thing on her would-like-to-do list is to learn how to ski.

Dr. Alyson Holmes earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Southeastern Louisiana University and received her Doctoral degree in Audiology from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. Prior to joining Helton Hearing Care, she gained valuable experience assessing hearing and balance disorders as well as providing rehabilitation services for hearing loss. Dr. Holmes loves being an Audiologist because it gives her the opportunity to work closely with patients, and provides her the opportunity to help improve their quality of life through better hearing. Dr. Holmes is only one of two audiologists (the other one is Dr. Will Helton) in Bozeman, MT, who holds National Board Certification from the American Board of Audiology (ABA).

Dr. Holmes served in the United State Air Force for 9 years, during that time she lived in England, Mississippi, and Colorado. During her time in Colorado, she and her children fell in love with the mountain life and knew that’s where they wanted to live. Originally from Louisiana, her and her two children are excited to be in Montana and enjoy all this beautiful state has to offer.

Dr. Ryanne Tindell graduated from West Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders. She earned her Doctorate of Audiology from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Before joining Helton Hearing Care, Dr. Tindell worked as an audiologist at an Ear, Nose and Throat clinic where she gained experience in balance disorders and diseases of the ear, as well as working with hearing devices from multiple manufacturers. Dr. Tindell loves being an audiologist because to connect with people and improve their lives through better hearing.

During her free time, Dr. Tindell enjoys reading, cooking, and watching Korean dramas with her sister. She has two dogs that join her on all her adventures from a long walk to a road trip.

Natalie was born and raised in a small town in North Carolina but is more westerner than southerner.  She has worked in all sorts of fields and occupations, including sheep herding, cattle ranching, and working on vineyard.  She has an Associate’s of Arts degree specializing in English, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with a minor in Anthropology from the University of Northern Colorado.

She moved to Bozeman, MT to be closer to family, and explore as much as possible.  When she’s not contemplating the mysteries of the universe, she spends her time hiking, swimming, sketching, writing, and playing with her four nephews.

Kristi is a Nebraska native who graduated from the University of Nebraska with a teaching degree in Speech and Theatre. She moved to New York City, where she picked up a love of ethnic food, Boston, where she picked up a law degree from Harvard University, and Washington, D.C., where she picked up a husband, Dick. She practiced administrative law at several private firms before moving to the Federal Communications Commission, where her specialty was low-earth orbiting satellite communications.

Kristi and Dick moved to Montana in 1995. They have 3 grown children. Kristi is so delighted to be a Patient Care Coordinator and be part of Helton Hearing Care team.
