About Our Practice

Hearing Facts

Gradual hearing loss can affect people of all ages. Hearing loss is a sudden or gradual decrease in how well you can hear. Depending on the cause, it can be mild or severe, temporary or permanent.

Choosing A Doctor of Audiology

Helton Hearing Care, formerly Micken Hearing Services, was the first and premier audiology practice in western Montana. For more than 35 years, we have been providing audiology services, hearing aids and accessories, Assistive Listening Devices, hearing protection devices and hearing aid repair service to help improve the quality of life for many hearing impaired people in the Bozeman community and its surrounding areas. We have a team of talented and dedicated professionals led by Dr. Will Helton, the only audiologist in Bozeman and one of only a handful of Doctors of Audiology in the state of Montana who holds National Board Certification from the American Board of Audiology (ABA).

Our state-of-the-art facility is equipped with the most advanced computerized instruments for assessing your hearing. We have a reputation of providing highest quality hearing testing to our clients. As an evidence-based hearing care practice, we believe the more information we have about your hearing health, the greater our ability to precisely tailor a solution to your hearing needs. In addition to administering in-depth, accurate and comprehensive audiological evaluations, Dr. Helton and our staff members are available five days a week to address your hearing needs and to maintain and repair your hearing aids.

At Helton Hearing Care, we believe that by empowering people with the information they need, as well as offering a wide range of options, we give the clients access to the hearing healthcare they deserve.

Hearing Care Focused on Your Individual Needs

At Helton Hearing Care, we focus on a client/family centered approach and strive to empower clients who desire better hearing. The primary goal of our practice is to educate clients about their hearing health and their treatment options. If hearing test results indicate that amplification is appropriate, our doctors of audiology are pleased to recommend a wide range of hearing aid options that best fit your individual needs, lifestyle and budget.

We are respectful of clients’ financial concerns as well as their hearing needs based on lifestyle. We realize purchasing hearing instruments is a significant financial investment as well as a long term decision. We never pressure clients to purchase or to make an immediate decision.

Also, we believe our jobs aren’t finished until our clients’ lives are improved. Because of this, our team of doctors of audiology always insures that each client receives the individualized hearing healthcare they need.

In addition, the clients are educated regarding the importance of follow up care. Many clients think the path to better hearing ends when they purchase amplification. At Helton Hearing Care, we work hard to consistently deliver services years after the purchase, to insure peak performance of the hearing aids. This important relationship continues well beyond the time of the initial fitting.
